About The Role
Reporting to the UAS Build Team Leader, in the role of Production Operator will build complex UAVs in a safe manner from a kit of parts by diligently following engineering information and in accordance with the Company Operating System. In addition, there is a requirement to be involved in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Assembling unmanned aerial vehicles in accordance with work instructions and from the kit of parts supplied.
- Crimping connectors and soldering small components.
- Assembling components and assemblies using small screws and nuts.
- Checking work by using test equipment to verify correct assembly.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to perform build tasks as part of an overall UAV build programme.
- Get involved in problem solving to improve the build process.
- Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.
- Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
- When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.
- Perform other related duties as required.
