Responsibilities
- Understand and interpret project requirements.
- Build models, simulate, and analyse aircraft performance and flight dynamics.
- Implement flight simulation and visualization test environments.
- Present modelling analysis and simulation results in meetings, conferences or technical publications.
- Maintain models to high standards.
- Gather modelling data through bench/flight testing activities.
- Write technical documentation (technical specifications, model descriptions, test plans and test reports).
- Support the team in establishing a library of reusable models/tools.
- Interface with software developers, design and testing activities to understand modelling needs and fidelity required.
- Ensure on-time delivery of technical solutions that meet business needs and manage partner satisfaction related to deliverables.
- Demonstrate commitment to health and safety in the workplace and report hazards or incidents as required.
- Participate in health and safety training as directed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Essential Skills
- Excellent communicator who can collaborate effectively.

- Demonstrable problem-solving ability with tight timescales.
- Proficient in Matlab/Simulink or a comparable modelling tool.
- Demonstrable knowledge of UAV flight dynamics physics and flight control systems.

- Experience with model validation activities.
- Aerodynamics knowledge (empirical techniques / CFD).
- Experience with SolidWorks or comparable CAD.
- Experience with common flight simulation and visualization packages.
- Knowledge and application of civil/military aerospace standards.
- Systems engineering experience, preferably within an aerospace context.
Personal Attributes
- Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK.
- Ability to commit to occasional national and international travel.
- A full valid UK driving license.
- Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK.
- Must be able to work onsite routinely, minimum 3 days per week.
