The Role: As the Sales Manager you will be selling bearings to the Industrial OEM market. Dealing with industries such as Off-Highway Vehicles, Mobile OEM, Agricultural and Construction Vehicles, Pump manufacturers, Gearbox manufacturers, Steel, Machine Tool manufacturers etc. The role will entail about 60% managing large Key Accounts and 40% looking for new business, though it won't be cold calling. Covering the Midlands though you will need to go further afield from time to time. 2-3 days per week on the road with the remainder from home or the office depending on location.
The Ideal Person: Ideally experience selling Bearings or other Power Transmission products into OEMs, end users or aftermarket. Need to be HUNTER and FARMER, able to manage the key accounts as well as growing new business. No qualification required, but you must have an engineering appreciation. Ideally experience working for a Bearings or Power Transmission manufacturer in the past. They will consider from a distribution background, but would like someone a little more specialised than a standard rep or with a qualification. Even better if you have experience as an engineer in the past. Hard working, self motivated, driven. A full driving licence is essential. You must live in the Midlands, East or West, but it needs to be well located for the road network. You need the full right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship, now or in future (no sponsorship available, sorry).
