The Role: This position involves working as a Product Specialist with medical devices, being the product expert across a small number of units. Based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, you will work in clinical settings to provide initial and ongoing training to staff in various therapy areas. You will be working for the manufacturer of these medical devices, embedded with the clinical staff at the hospital, playing a vital part every day! Your responsibilities include aiding during procedures as requested, ensuring the correct and effective use of the products in that given therapy area, and maintaining your own professional development along with regional and national training events. This role includes extensive training across various areas of product use and offers a great route towards Application Trainer, Sales Associate, or Product Management (all highly rewarding roles). This is based on a 40-hour, Monday to Friday working week, typically during daytime hours.
Package: Basic starting salary: £28k (which will increase after probation), bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical insurance, wellness program, and reward schemes.
The Ideal Person: This role is ideally suited to operating theatre-based staff, those with surgical experience such as ODPs, Physician Associates, Scrubs, Surgical Assistants, etc., who want to take their career in a commercial direction! It is also suitable for a graduate of human sciences with some clinical experience in a surgical theatre setting who desires a commercial career path. Nursing or other clinical staff with a good understanding of surgical procedures and strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology would be strongly considered for this role. A BSc in Human Sciences or Sports Sciences is an advantage but not essential if you have the relevant clinical experience. You will need the willingness and drive to learn a lot of new information across a wide range of product and treatment areas, but a full training and development program is provided throughout your career! An outgoing personality and excellent people skills are essential for this career. You must live in the Kings Lynn or surrounding area, commutable to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Right to work in the UK is essential; no sponsorship is available.
