The Company: An established, very friendly and highly regarded business in the medical sector within ultrasound. Working alongside the NHS and private sector, this company provides services that are helping save lives across the country, every single day. Known for being a good company to work for and with a friendly senior management team.
The Role: As Office Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of this medical device repairs centre. The role is hybrid with some working from home as you’re not required to be on site every day, allowing for a nice split of working environments. In this role, you will supervise, mentor, and train team members in line with business requirements. You will allocate tasks efficiently to ensure timely and high-quality repairs while fostering a positive and productive working environment. You will oversee and manage complex repairs on various ultrasound probe models, supporting your technicians with challenging repairs and providing technical guidance to your team of engineers. You will ensure adherence to best practices in ultrasound probe repair processes, along with complying with all Quality Assurance & Compliance requirements such as ISO 13485 and any other relevant regulatory requirements. As part of the role, you will lead the Training & Development of your team, developing and delivering training programs to enhance your team's skills. You will also manage inventory of repair tools, parts, and equipment within the workshop, identifying any inefficiencies and implementing solutions for improvement. This role will progress towards an Operational Management position. Full initial training will be provided with ongoing career development.
Package: Basic salary depending on experience, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company bonus scheme, company pension scheme.
The Ideal Person: You will need experience with ultrasound, ideally in a repairs/service engineer capacity. It’s essential that you have a good working knowledge of working to ISO 17025 and ISO 13485 regulations. Team leadership or management experience is an essential requirement, along with skills such as training and mentoring of colleagues. You need the ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment, adapting to change as the organisation grows. Strong IT skills with packages such as MS Office and CRM systems, along with a high level of proficiency in record keeping, are vital for anyone applying to this role. You won’t be customer facing but will be engaging with key stakeholders via phone, online meetings, or email – therefore strong customer service skills are essential! Applicants must be commutable to the Kettering area, within a reasonable commutable distance of the site, or be willing to relocate at your own expense. Right to work in the UK is essential – no sponsorship available.
