About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated BDM to join our UK Endoscopy sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth across the companies Medical UK portfolio, working closely with healthcare professionals to deliver clinical value and outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong product and procedural knowledge across the portfolio of capital and consumable products.
- Full Ownership of sales performance across the territory.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including gastroenterologists, endoscopy nurses, procurement teams, and decontamination staff.
- Responsibility for training and education to help develop and support sales promotion.
- Attendance at trade shows and education events as required.
- Attendance at sales meetings or international meetings as required.
- Assist in product trials, demonstrations, and in-service training within hospitals and endoscopy units.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase market share and introduce new products.
- Completion of CRM & all administration tasks with weekly reporting to the NSM.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activity, customer needs, and emerging trends.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and NHS guidelines.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree in life sciences, biomedical, or healthcare-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in sales of medical devices, ideally 3 years+.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ambitious, pro-active, and self-motivated.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the territory, including occasional overnight stays.
- Experience of the sales channels within the NHS and the process to arrive at a buying decision.
- Understanding of endoscopy workflows, procedures, or infection control practices.
- Familiarity with NHS procurement and decision-making structures.
