We're seeking an experienced Refrigeration Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial refrigeration projects across new store developments, remodels, and asset replacement programmes. This role is heavily focused on refrigeration commissioning and installation, with responsibility for managing associated electrical and M&E works to ensure seamless project delivery.
Salary up to £59,000 plus package and bonus.
You’ll take full ownership of projects from initial survey through to commissioning and handover, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage refrigeration commissioning, installation, and electrical teams across multiple sites.
- Deliver full lifecycle refrigeration projects, from site survey through to commissioning and client handover.
- Conduct detailed site surveys and produce accurate quotations for refrigeration and associated works.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of commercial refrigeration systems, ensuring performance meets design and specification.
- Work closely with Construction Managers and stakeholders to deliver snag-free, fully operational refrigeration systems on time.
- Plan and manage labour, specialist subcontractors, and plant requirements for refrigeration installs.
- Ensure all works comply with F-Gas regulations, health & safety standards, and company HSE procedures.
- Prepare and manage RAMS, commissioning plans, and technical documentation specific to refrigeration systems.
- Attend key project meetings (pre-start, technical, commissioning, and handover).
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to control costs and manage project variations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to refrigeration systems, commissioning, and installation.
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality and efficiency on-site.
- Manage all project documentation, including O&M manuals and refrigeration compliance records.
- Drive high-quality delivery, ensuring minimal snagging and rapid resolution of defects.
- Lead, develop, and motivate your team, ensuring strong technical and safety performance.

- Refrigeration systems commissioned and handed over on time and fully operational.
- Snagging issues resolved within 6 working days.
- Health & Safety and F-Gas compliance maintained across all projects.
- Labour, plant, and subcontractor costs controlled within budget.

About You
You’ll have strong experience managing commercial refrigeration projects, with a solid understanding of commissioning, system performance, and compliance (including F-Gas). You’re a confident leader who can manage engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical delivery when needed.
