It\’s an exciting opportunity to push the current office lead up the ladder, while being supported to take their role.

Working alongside the wider Civil and Electrical Design team, the role of the Primary Electrical Design Engineer will see you producing electrical layouts for substations (including AIS / GIS up to 400kV), cable route layout drawings & sections, LV layouts, switch room and control room equipment layouts and site earthing layouts etc.

You\’ll be client facing, mentoring, and keen to innovate. You\’ll also need to have a sound understanding of typical engineering documents such as, but not limited to, ENATS 41-24, NGTS RES i3, NGTS 3.02.014 RES, NGTS 2.01 RES, NGTS 1, NGTS 3.01.02, BS 50522, BS7430 and a demonstrable working understanding of G81 standards and DNO\’s approved equipment registers.

It is crucial that you are Chartered, or actively working towards it, and able to demonstrate previous experience of primary electrical design with a consultancy, contractor or utility in the Power industry.
