An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrician to join one of the UK's leading Facilities Management companies, covering York and surrounding areas. This role will primarily involve working on prestigious National Trust sites, so experience working within protected or heritage buildings would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of MICC (mineral insulated copper clad) cabling is also desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold relevant qualifications, including NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) and the 18th Edition as a minimum. The role involves working as part of a team across a number of sites, carrying out a range of planned and reactive building maintenance duties. The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality electrical (and basic mechanical) maintenance while ensuring compliance with strict site and preservation standards.
Duties:
- Support other technicians with both major and minor maintenance works
- Complete all PPMs and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate completion of all required documentation
- Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair works efficiently
- Ensure all tools and equipment are available, maintained, and fit for purpose
- Travel to additional sites within the portfolio when required
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to maintain high standards of service and quality
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- Work in line with site-specific requirements, particularly within heritage and protected environments
- Ensure KPI targets are met and adhered to
- Accurately update the Mercury system with live job progress
Qualifications:
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent apprenticeship)
- 18th Edition
- Experience working with MICC cabling (desirable)
- Experience working in heritage/protected buildings (advantageous)
Salary / Package:
- Basic Salary: £36,804
- NO STANDBY

- Overtime rates: 1.5x Mon-Fri, 2x weekends
