The Opportunity
We are currently working with a well-established and growing engineering services provider who are looking to recruit an experienced Refrigeration Engineer. This role will see you working across a major retail contract on the South Coast, maintaining a range of commercial refrigeration systems. Training is also available for engineers without supermarket experience, making this a great opportunity to transition into the retail sector.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple retail sites, ensuring systems remain fully operational and compliant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance
- Servicing and repairing CO2 refrigeration pack systems
- Diagnosing faults and advising on repair vs replacement
- Completing minor installations and system modifications
- Attending scheduled and reactive store visits
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- F-Gas Category 1 (City & Guilds 2079)
Desirable:
- CO2 refrigeration experience (training can be provided)
About You
- Experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration
- Keen to develop within supermarket/retail refrigeration (if not already experienced)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to join a 1 in 4 on-call rota
- Full UK driving licence
