Calibre is transforming the £190B TIC industry, the trust backbone of global commerce. Every product you touch and system that keeps you safe relies on certification. Yet, this entire industry is broken. Incumbents like SGS and Bureau Veritas were built in the 1800s and still run on manual document checks and Excel, leading to months‑long delays, massive inefficiency, and razor‑thin 15% margins. We are rebuilding this industry from the ground up with AI‑native agentic systems that can complete audits in days, not months.

We were founded by two ex‑Palantir technical co‑founders who have spent years deploying enterprise AI agent workflows across 20+ industries. We are applying the Palantir FDE playbook to an industry that has been untouched by technology. We’ve just raised an oversubscribed $3.3M pre‑seed round from top tier SF based VCs.

The Role

We're looking for a genuinely exceptional engineer who is early in their career but is ready to operate at a senior level. This isn't a typical junior role. You will be a core member of the founding engineering team, building the end‑to‑end systems to dismantle a $64B industry. You are a 'top 5%' programmer who is language‑agnostic, obsesses over first principles, and has already integrated LLMs into your daily workflow as a true force multiplier.

What You Will Do

• Build, test, and ship high‑quality, high‑velocity code across the full stack (front‑end, back‑end, and AI‑agent infrastructure).
• Collaborate directly with the co‑founders to solve complex architectural problems, like how to capture an auditor's 'tribal knowledge' into a self‑improving, agentic system.
• Go beyond simple prompting: You will use LLM coding tools as a partner, understanding how to negate their weaknesses and build robust frameworks around them to maximize your output.
• Get hands‑on with our first design partners, understand their real problems (not just what they ask for), and build solutions that they will actually use.

The Ideal Candidate

• Exceptional technical talent with more than 2 years of professional experience. Your GitHub, personal projects, or hackathon wins speak for themselves.
• A first‑principles problem solver. You have a fundamentally strong computer science background (e.g., from a top university or equivalent experience) and are language‑agnostic, picking the right tool for the job.
• AI‑Native: You are already a sophisticated user of LLM tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) for coding. You understand their strengths, weaknesses, and how to build systems that leverage them effectively.
