Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 salary + D2D travel

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Yorkshire, with some working away required when necessary

We are working with a well-established specialist in the retail and commercial sector, delivering full fit-outs, refurbishments, planned maintenance and M&E services to major UK and international brands. The business has built a strong technical reputation over more than two decades, supporting large multi-site roll-outs and ongoing service commitments across grocery, fashion, health & beauty and related sectors.

About the Role

This role is focused on electrical work within facilities management and commercial maintenance. You will be responsible for planned and reactive electrical tasks across a portfolio of retail properties, ensuring systems remain compliant, safe and operational. The role suits someone comfortable travelling between sites, with good problem-solving skills and confidence working in occupied retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on site
  • Working on lighting systems, distribution boards, emergency lighting, small power etc.
  • Testing, inspection and certification where required
  • Maintaining compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
  • Providing accurate maintenance notes and job reports
  • Communicating clearly with site contacts and internal project/electrical teams
  • Ensuring minimal disruption to live trading environments

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, retail environments or commercial property
  • Strong awareness of electrical compliance, testing and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and professionally
  • Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
