Job Description

Electrician – Wiltshire

Ideal candidate location – Calne

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrician to join a leading facilities services provider, supporting their operations across Wiltshire. Ideal candidates will be located in Calne, with work across two nearby sites.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with strong experience in electrical maintenance and testing, holding at minimum: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection. The role is predominantly maintenance-based (around 90%), with occasional installation work, including new lighting and small electrical projects.

This is a unique opportunity to work on secure, long-term contracts in a supportive team environment.

Duties:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across client sites.
  • Fault-finding and repair of electrical systems, predominantly in commercial and industrial type environments.
  • Undertake minor electrical installation works such as lighting upgrades and emergency exit systems.
  • Support estimation and material preparation for minor works projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including reporting and paperwork.
  • Work safely and professionally, representing the company and maintaining high standards of service.
  • Participate in call-outs as required, responding to urgent maintenance issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent – required
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – required City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection – required
  • Compex 0104 – beneficial however not required
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or industrial sites

Desirable:

  • EV charger installation experience.
  • JIB Gold Card, IPAF, PASMA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong commercial/industrial background.

Salary / Package:

  • £40,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications). Salary can be negotiated higher for electricians holding CompEx 0104 qualifications.
  • Paid travel during call-outs.
  • Company van and fuel card provided for business use.
