I am looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer that is now looking for that 'next step' opportunity to join a Geotechnical Director in Leeds to assist in building and developing a northern office in support of the London head office with an incredible reputation.
You will be the first member as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, sat under the geotechnical Director in London and will gain experience in all aspects of technical delivery, recruiting engineers, financial management and business development.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, your role will consist of writing desk studies, phase 2 reports, risk assessments, specifications and design across foundations, retaining walls, slopes and temporary works. Workload can include anything from large scale developments across the UK, rail and maritime. Potential opportunity for further development across numerical analysis although this is done out of HQ.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Specification:
- 1st degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with a relative MSc in Geotechnics or Soil Mechanics.
- Approaching or Chartered with ICE or CGeol.
- Proven previous experience of undertaking geotechnical desk studies; procuring & supervising Ground Investigations (GIs).
- Demonstrable experience of geotechnical design (prelim or detailed), including a demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles and a knowledge of Eurocode 7.
- Working knowledge of Geo-Environmental is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
