Calibre Search are working on behalf of a fast paced specialist Infrastructure Consultancy based in Leeds. They are a renowned Transport Planning and Highway Infrastructure Consultancy with over 30 years' experience working with both private and public sector clients that are looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their existing team.

As part of your role you will maintain and develop technical or management capability through CPD, arranging and attending internal and external training seminars regularly and present key points to colleagues. You will be expected to work across different offices where required as part of a multidisciplinary team working on a project and to take direction and instruction from the lead engineer on these projects and also provide technical leadership in at least one of the key core skills of the business and hold a solid understanding of other core skills of the business, how they are coordinated with the capability of managing the coordination.

It is important that you can understand and implement internal company policy and procedures Quality and SHEQMS procedures at project level and be able to not only manage external resources and suppliers, but also provide design strategies and briefs to be developed by junior staff, whilst overseeing and guiding them through the detailed stage of the design.

You will possess the ability to manage external resources and suppliers and hold sufficient experience to challenge, where appropriate items such as designs, fees and programme and review terms and conditions and also to review concept designs and provide value engineering solutions to projects and present the benefits of solutions to clients and the wider design team. An understanding of the stages of design and the detailed output required at each stage within your chosen field of expertise is mandatory as is the ability to review concept designs and provide value engineering solutions to projects and present the benefits of solutions to clients and the wider design team.

They are looking for Engineers with a minimum of seven years UK industry work experience and either be Chartered or working towards professional qualifications at IEng level, evidenced through completion of IPD or professionally qualified to EngTech level with sufficient further learning.
