I'm currently working with a well‑established, growing consultancy that delivers engineering, design, and surveying services across the construction sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner to join their Didcot office. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
- Undertake site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre-application advice
- Carry out traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and project teams
- Attend meetings and support project delivery
- Contribute to maintaining strong client relationships
Requirements
Essential:
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. Transport Planning, Civil Engineering)
- Experience within a transport planning consultancy environment
- Proven experience producing Transport Assessments / Transport Statements
- Experience using junction modelling software (e.g. ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, Junctions 9)
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Proactive, organised, and team‑oriented
Desirable:
- Chartered status (or working towards)
- Experience in highway design or Road Safety Audits
- Commercial awareness and client relationship skills
