About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established and growing multi-disciplinary building services design consultancy specialising in Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) services across Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Education, Rail and other key sectors. The practice is known for delivering high-quality building services design and consultancy throughout the UK.
As an AutoCAD/Revit MEP Technician, you will join a small, supportive engineering team working on an engaging variety of projects; from large hotel developments in Manchester to technically varied schemes across Greater Manchester and the North West. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with good AutoCAD skills, preferably in Building Services, to transition into Revit, working closely with an experienced Revit Lead. You'll begin by supporting CAD delivery and assisting with basic Revit tasks, gradually building your capability to become a confident Revit model coordinator. This position offers the ideal blend of hands-on AutoCAD work with structured progression into Revit - perfect for early-career professionals who want to advance their skills in a respected engineering consultancy. You'll be part of a collaborative team delivering design excellence across diverse and stimulating projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD in line with project standards.
- Support the team with Revit model updates, setup and simple modelling tasks, progressing with structured learning.
- Collaborate with the Revit Lead and wider engineering team on building services design documentation.
- Assist with coordination and drafting across multi-discipline MEP packages.
- Ensure drawing compliance with internal standards and project requirements.
Who We’re Looking For
- ~12 months’ experience in M&E, building services, or related engineering role.
- Proficient with AutoCAD drafting in a technical environment.
- An interest in learning Revit (previous exposure is a bonus but not essential).
- Good communication, organisation skills and a positive attitude toward learning new software.
- Basic understanding of building services design principles.
- Enthusiasm for developing BIM and 3D modelling skills.
What’s On Offer
- Up to £30,000 salary.
- Opportunity to work alongside experienced Revit practitioners.
- Opportunity to build Revit capabilities and technical coordination within M&E design.
- Immediate start for the right candidate.
