Civil Engineering Technician – Wakefield
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join a family‑run consultancy with over 30 years of experience delivering highways and drainage projects across Yorkshire and the UK.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings and 3‑D models using Auto CAD and Civil 3D for highways and drainage designs.
- Support delivery of Section38, Section278, Section104 and Section185 schemes from concept to construction.
- Participate in highway layouts, external works, drainage strategies, levels, earthworks and utility coordination.
- Collaborate closely with civil engineers to develop practical, buildable design solutions that meet UK standards.
- Interpret and prepare submissions for S38, S278, S104, S185 and, where applicable, Micro Drainage, Info Drainage or Causeway Flow.
Qualifications
- Approximately two years of experience in a UK civil engineering consultancy.
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Auto CAD and practical use of Civil 3D.
- Experience producing highway and drainage drawings for development infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with S38, S278, S104 and S185 submissions.
- Previous structural drafting experience is welcomed.
