The Role
As a Maintenance Plumber, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, installations, testing and fault finding across plumbing and mechanical systems. You'll work as part of a wider maintenance team, supporting day-to-day building operations while also responding to breakdowns, emergencies and maintenance requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, installations and fault finding on plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Maintain water supply and distribution systems, including valves, fixtures and outlets.
- Install and maintain pipework, water systems and plumbing fixtures in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant regulations.
- Maintain waste and vent systems using appropriate equipment.
- Complete plumbing inspections and PPM activities, including backflow prevention devices where appropriately certified.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency call-outs and breakdowns.
- Work closely with contractors and site teams, providing plumbing expertise during projects and equipment installations.
- Support general building maintenance activities when required.
- Share your knowledge and provide basic plumbing guidance to colleagues.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
- You’ll ideally have NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing.
