Join a Growing Maintenance Team
Due to continued business growth and exciting new client contracts, we're looking for experienced Fabric Technicians to join our expanding maintenance division around the Swindon and surrounding area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, forward-thinking organisation that invests in its people and takes pride in delivering high-quality facilities and maintenance services.
As a Fabric Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping client sites safe, compliant and fully operational. This is a mobile, hands-on role, covering multiple sites across the Swindon area.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, completing a varied range of building fabric, groundwork and general maintenance tasks. You'll be someone who takes pride in their workmanship, gets the job done right first time and can work confidently both independently and as part of a wider team.
What You'll Be Doing
- General building fabric maintenance.
- Basic joinery and painting.
- Basic plumbing repairs.
- Minor flooring repairs, including tiling and vinyl.
- Hard landscaping and groundwork.
- Slab laying and minor brickwork repairs.
- Block paving, kerbs and concreting.
- Tarmac repairs and fencing.
- Channel drain and manhole replacement.
- Modular paving.
- HVAC filter cleaning.
- Operating small plant and machinery where required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Basic education, including GCSEs or equivalent.
- Good IT/iPad skills and confidence using digital job management systems.
- Practical experience across general building fabric and groundwork repairs.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Ability to complete varied maintenance tasks to a high standard.
Desirable
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in a relevant trade.
- Multi-skilled or multi-trade maintenance experience.
- Groundworks experience, including paving, concreting, tarmac, drainage and fencing.
- Experience within facilities management, retail or public-sector environments.
