An independent family-run Structural Engineering consultancy based in Chorley are on the lookout for a Structural Technician/Engineer to join the team in a full-time capacity. The company are a well-established firm with a strong and steady base of repeat clients working on projects in the Industrial, Commercial, Power and Attraction sectors.
They are looking for an experienced Technician with at least 5 years of working in a consultancy environment using AutoCAD but also some experience of using Revit. The ideal candidate will also either have some experience or understanding of engineering calculations and be interested in being trained up further to develop into a solid engineer.
The ideal Structural Technician/Engineer will:
- Hold a minimum of an ONC in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering course.
- Some Revit experience within the UK structures environment and at least 5 years working for a civil and structural engineering company/companies.
- Experience of modelling existing masonry structures and new RC Concrete/steel framed buildings.
- Able to use and create project templates and filters to in-house standards.
- Able to produce 3D BIM models to a Level 2 Standard, all to in-house BIM specifications.
- Good engineering knowledge and understanding of key structural engineering principles.
- Experience of modelling large-scale buildings and refurbishment of buildings.
The company are offering a salary bracket of £30, - £35, plus benefits but this can be extended depending on experience. This role will be full-time from the office and the company provide free onsite parking for all employees.
