Our client’s City Centre Leeds office are actively recruiting for two Structural Engineers who have the potential to become Seniors within the short to medium term. From high rise towers to the redevelopment of heritage buildings, their Engineers and Technicians they have a huge breadth and depth of technical knowledge to deliver structural survey and design services across multiple sectors. The role will involve working with their existing teams to manage/assist an existing client base, with a view to expanding a team-leading role managing a wide portfolio of work in due course. Experience of running projects is ideal for this as you will be given the opportunity to lead new and existing projects and work closely with the clients. You will have experience of delivering projects and undertaking technical calculations by hand and in FE software. (SCIA/ETABS/SAFE/Sofistik etc. preferred but a general idea of modelling principles required) and have the ability to think about how structures relate to architecture (coordination) and an appreciation of how buildings are constructed. You will have an excellent understanding of structural engineering and have all round experience in building structures. The role requires you to be competent with computer analysis of structures and design of structural elements in most common materials i.e. steel, concrete, composite, masonry and timber. This role has considerable potential for future promotion within the company. You will be joining a rapidly growing company who are going through another phase of recruitment because of an increase in workload.
