Calibre Search are working alongside a well established independent Consulting Engineering practice who have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil, structural, and environmental engineering services across the UK and internationally. With decades of experience and offices supporting a wide and diverse client base, the company combines the technical depth and capability of a large consultancy with the flexibility, personal service, and responsiveness of a smaller, specialist practice. Its success is founded on innovation, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships, achieved through clear communication, practical design thinking, and a commitment to delivering sustainable, efficient, and buildable solutions. The practice fosters a collaborative environment that values professional growth, accountability, and excellence in delivery, offering engineers the chance to take ownership of their work and contribute meaningfully to major projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add an Engineer to their Leeds office and become part of a highly regarded Structural team with a varied and challenging workload spanning residential, commercial, mixed-use, and industrial developments. The firm is currently involved in several major town and city centre regeneration projects across the UK, many of which are large, complex schemes requiring innovative structural design and robust technical delivery. The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading projects from concept through to completion, ensuring that all design work complies with British Standards, Eurocodes, and UK Building Regulations while meeting client expectations for quality, efficiency, and value. The role will involve supervising and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical leadership, guidance, and quality assurance across all project stages. You will work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams to develop integrated, practical structural solutions that align with architectural intent and construction methodology. A strong understanding of material behaviour, detailing, and coordination is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the company confidently in meetings and client interactions. Applicants should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering as a minimum, ideally supported by a Master\βs qualification, and be chartered or approaching chartered status. A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is required, with demonstrable success on large, complex, or high-profile developments. A strong understanding of infrastructure delivery from both a client and technical approval perspective is important, as is the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high standards of technical and design quality. Proficiency in key design software is essential, including Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer (or Building Designer), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of Revit considered highly beneficial. The position calls for a self-driven individual who can work independently while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment. In return, the role offers a competitive salary, workplace pension, and structured opportunities for training, development, and progression. Sponsorship of professional membership is provided, along with the chance to contribute to a portfolio of high-profile, technically challenging projects that shape the built environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Structural Senior Project Engineer seeking to advance their career within a forward-thinking consultancy recognised for its integrity, innovation, and technical excellence.
