An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join an independent and well-established consultancy in Newark.

They are a relatively young company but are already making a lot of noise within the industry and winning some of the UK\’s most sought-after projects. They work a great deal with Structural Steel and Concrete, proving Architectural, Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering services.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge within Structural Design, CDM Regulations and contractual awareness. This will be an ideal opportunity for somebody who wants to work for a consultancy that really looks after it staffs and thrives off internal progression.

Requirements:
A candidate nearing Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE.
Experience with design in multiple materials and analysis and design of varied building forms.

The candidate will be working within a mixed civil/structural engineering team. Preferably they will be competent in either field. However, candidates stronger in one are acceptable so long as they are prepared to represent all areas, for example at meetings and taking key actions back to specific designers if necessary.

The majority of their work is industrial/manufacturing, though they also undertake commercial and bespoke activities.

The role would be to support a current Principal Engineer within their team, by overseeing packages of design work, managing a technician and leading on smaller projects.
