Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager Site Based throughout West and South Yorkshire We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor to join the team of an established Developer/Contractor based in Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will ensure projects are completed within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and cost plans. Conduct feasibility studies and provide accurate cost advice. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Monitor project progress and measure completed work to ensure accurate valuations. Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to management. Identify and manage risks to minimise project cost overruns. Ensure compliance with building regulations, company policies, and health & safety standards. Support project managers in delivering projects on time and within budget. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience taking the commercial lead on projects upto £10 million Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in relevant software (MS Excel, cost management tools, estimating software). Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
