A successful nationwide MEP consultancy, with a UK-wide presence and international office, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Manchester/Stretford office. You will work on a large variety of projects in the UK, with a focus on the Healthcare sector, including new builds and refurbishments, and working extensively with modern methods of construction including modular offsite installations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver mechanical services across a range of healthcare projects (e.g., operating theatres, day case centres, reception and office areas, laboratories, wards and outpatient areas) in line with CIBSE and HTM guidelines.
- Contribute within a Building Services environment and collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Apply knowledge of BS7671 and other relevant guidelines in project work.
- Support the expansion of the Manchester office by contributing to project delivery and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Degree-level education in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (minimum); preferably a BEng or Master’s degree.
- Experience in a similar Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role within a Building Services environment.
- Interest in Healthcare engineering and new technology; readiness to progress to a senior position.
- Ability to work effectively in a Mechanical Engineering team and a multi-disciplinary setting.
