With a strong portfolio of private and public sector clients, they have built a reputation for excellence in transport planning, development infrastructure, and highways design. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join their expanding team at their modern Fleet office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take the next step in their career and play a key role in shaping and delivering highway and infrastructure projects across a wide range of development sectors. The Role As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design, management, and delivery of highways and infrastructure projects, working collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and contribute to high-quality design solutions for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of highway and infrastructure schemes from concept through to detailed design. Prepare and review technical drawings, design reports, and specifications in accordance with DMRB, Manual for Streets, and local authority standards. Manage projects, budgets, and client relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Undertake detailed design using industry-standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage). Liaise effectively with clients, local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders. Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Contribute to bid preparation, fee proposals, and business development activities.About You Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Chartered or working towards Chartered status (CEng or IEng) with ICE or CIHT. Significant experience in highway and infrastructure design for development projects. Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar). Strong understanding of DMRB, MfS, and local authority design standards. Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills.
