Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer Location: Edinburgh (Would Consider Glasgow) Salary: Up to £65,000 + benefits Hybrid Working: 3 days in office / 2 days from home About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering high-profile, technically challenging projects across the UK and beyond. You\'ll be joining a well-established Energy and Special Projects team working on innovative and environmentally significant developments, including a long-term overseas project focused on decarbonisation and sustainable infrastructure. This position offers the chance to work on landmark projects that integrate cutting-edge technology such as renewable power systems, battery energy storage, smart grids, and advanced MEP design solutions, all delivered in accordance with ISO 19650 standards using Revit. You\'ll be joining a team of nearly 15 MEP engineers working across Scotland. What You\'ll Be Doing Lead and support delivery of electrical design projects from RIBA stages 2-5 across energy, industrial, commercial, and remote-location schemes. Undertake detailed design and specification of LV electrical installations and distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, cabling, and control equipment. Prepare feasibility studies, concept designs, and detailed design documentation (models, drawings, calculations, and specifications). Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, and architectural disciplines. Support and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design outputs. Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing technical leadership and innovative solutions. Participate in site and design meetings, workload management, and project delivery coordination. About You Degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. Professionally qualified (CIBSE or IET) or working towards chartership. Demonstrable experience in electrical building services design within multidisciplinary environments. Skilled in Revit, Navisworks, Amtech, and Dialux, with experience in Clash Detection and information management to ISO 19650 standards. Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines. A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
