The Opportunity
Due to sustained growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Architect with a strong technical bias to join their Reading-based team. This is a hands-on role focused on the later stages of project delivery. You will be leading projects from detailed design through to completion, ensuring design intent is realised on site with technical rigour and buildable solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading residential projects through RIBA Stages 2-6, with particular focus on Stages 3/4 onwards
- Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive tender packages
- Coordinating closely with structural engineers, M&E consultants, and contractors to resolve technical challenges
- Managing site meetings, responding to RFIs, and providing contractor support throughout construction
- Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning conditions, and quality standards
- Mentoring and developing junior architects within the team
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for further collaboration
- Applying practical, methodical problem-solving skills while delivering to budget and programme
About You
- ARB-registered Architect with solid post-Part III experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects through technical design and construction stages
- Proficient in Revit with experience working in BIM Level 2 environments
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and buildability
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across project teams
- A proactive, diligent approach with strong organisational capabilities
- Ambition to develop your technical expertise within a supportive, growing practice
