Circa £70,000 | Fully Remote (within 2hrs of Central London) | Building Services Consultancy

If you're a mechanical engineer who's ready for genuine ownership of projects rather than being another name on a drawing, this is worth a look. Broad, hands-on scope, real client and site relationships, and a business that's scaling fast enough to need senior people who can help shape how the mechanical function grows.

The Role

  • Deliver HVAC, ventilation, public health and above-ground drainage design across a varied sector mix
  • Work independently on design while managing client and site relationships directly
  • Take on Stage 2 and 3 design work as standard, with Stage 4 experience valued
  • Support and mentor junior members of the mechanical team as it continues to grow
  • Occasional site surveys (roughly monthly), otherwise fully remote

About You

  • Solid, broad-based mechanical design experience across HVAC, ventilation, public health and drainage
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and client relationships with minimal oversight
  • Some experience supporting or training junior engineers
  • Revit skills are a bonus, but not essential

The Business

A UK-based consultancy bringing together data analytics, sustainability and engineering to improve how buildings perform. Fully remote by design, with a genuinely flexible setup (they'll ship you a full home office, cover training and professional fees, and offer a hot-desk option for anyone who wants it). The team works across nearly every sector, is currently active on projects including large-scale data centre developments, and has been publicly recognised for innovation in the sustainability space. Culture-wise, expect a business that takes its technical output seriously without taking itself too seriously.
