We’re representing a market-leading contractor operating across demolition, remediation, asbestos removal and enabling works.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to support multiple live sites and drive strong project financial performance.
This role is ideal for a QS who enjoys working closely with operational teams, and taking ownership of commercial outcomes on fast-moving projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Site presence to support commercial and operational activities.
- Identify scope changes and ensure all variations are captured, evidenced and submitted.
- Submit accurate Applications for Payment and ensure timely valuation of works completed.
- Review main contracts and place/manage subcontract packages.
- Assess and authorise subcontractor applications and payments.
- Prepare monthly CVRs, forecasts, WIP reports and cashflow updates.
- Track and analyse project costs, proactively adjusting to reflect change.
- Maintain strong cost control and value management throughout delivery.
- Ensure procurement and supply chain engagement follows business processes.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate effectively with site teams and attend project meetings where required.
- Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts within contract deadlines.
- Support debt management and commercial reporting requirements.
- Your Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- 4+ years post-graduate QS experience in construction.
- Exposure to groundworks, minor civils, demolition or enabling works (desirable).
- Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
- Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and project-based software.
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple workloads, prioritise effectively and deliver under pressure.
- Team-focused, adaptable and confident in client-facing environments.
