We are currently working with one of the UK's best known multidisciplinary engineering consultancies as they look to add a Principal Structural Engineer to their division in the City of London.

This role will suit someone with at least seven years of similar experience in a consultancy environment, with a track record of resourcing projects. The consultancy is well known locally for working on large residential developments such as Brooke House, education and healthcare buildings and a large life sciences development.

Day to day you'll be developing early-stage concept designs and also reviewing and quality-checking drawing information before it is issued. You'll also be taking on responsibility for the supervision and mentoring of junior staff and leading on part of projects or small projects building up your project leadership skills. Additionally, you will also be contributing to project meetings; both during the early design stages and through the construction stage.

The Right Fit:

  • Someone with experience in developing structural concept designs in a variety of materials from early stages through to construction status and delivering project work under limited or no supervision.
  • You will be actively working under a recognised professional Institution training pathway.
  • Above all the right fit will be guided by what is right when making decisions, who recognises the contribution of others and shares their successes. Someone who is kind, conscientious and has pride in their work and the legacy our profession leaves for everyone.

Company benefits include an award winning training and development programme, employee ownership, flexible working, a holiday purchase plan, your birthday off, access to internally owned 5* holiday lodges, ICE and IStructE approved training status, an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, as well as a £2 chartership recognition payment for when you pass your exams.
