An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Structural Engineer to join an independent and well-established consultancy in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Calibre Search is currently working alongside one of the East Midlands' most vibrant Engineering Consultancies, looking to expand their team. They have a modern office, with a firm focus on making your place of work somewhere to enjoy and thrive.
They are a relatively young company but are already making a lot of noise within the industry and winning some of the UK's most sought-after projects. They work a great deal with Structural Steel and Concrete, providing Architectural, Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering services.
You ideally should be Chartered and be able to mentor and develop the team's younger engineers and help them to progress to the next level. Whilst they are an extremely well-structured and organised consultancy, they do have the flexibility currently to mould the role around you.
The role will involve working with established teams to manage/assist an existing client base, with a view to expanding a team-leading role managing a wide portfolio of work in due course. The candidate will ideally have Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE.
The candidate will be working within a mixed civil/structural engineering team. Preferably they will be competent in either field. However, candidates stronger in one are acceptable so long as they are prepared to represent all areas, for example at meetings and taking key actions back to specific designers if necessary.
The majority of our work is industrial/manufacturing, though we also undertake commercial and bespoke activities. You'll have the ability to manage project finances and company marketing to a high level. The role would be to support a current Associate Engineer/Director.
If you want to be considered for the opportunity, or other opportunities in the area, please contact Evie Thornton at Calibre Search.
Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age. We act as both an employment agency and employment business.
