Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal River Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of river engineering and flood defence on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. They specialise in all aspects of river engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy and Cities & Development. They continue to provide industry-leading river engineering and flood defence solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. Your Purpose:
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
- Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Sound knowledge in design such as flood walls and embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access and accessibility and construction logistics.
- Familiarity with current UK design standards, guidance and working practices.
- Proficiency in delivering both traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies.
