Role: Principal HV Engineer Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits Location: Flexible (UK-wide) This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing specialist engineering team delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of work, niche technical focus, and clear opportunities for progression, this role offers both challenge and reward. The Opportunity As a Principal High Voltage Engineer – Critical Systems, you\’ll be responsible for leading and delivering electrical infrastructure design across technical buildings and data centres, as well as supporting major HV projects nationwide. You\’ll take ownership of detailed design packages for HV and LV distribution systems, private networks, and associated infrastructure, while providing guidance to graduates, apprentices, and junior engineers. You\’ll also be the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, innovative solutions, and will manage your workload across multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliverables. We\’re particularly interested in engineers with experience in areas such as: DNO coordination and interface design HV private networks, generators, UPS, and earthing systems Data centres and technical infrastructure Application of renewables (battery storage, hydrogen, wind) Software such as ETAP, Paladin, or Trimble About You We\’re looking for a qualified electrical engineer (degree or HNC) with a strong background in HV design and project delivery. You\’ll have proven ability to manage multiple projects, excellent client-facing skills, and a track record of mentoring others.
