If you're the person other engineers turn to when a federated model needs untangling, this one's worth a look. A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal BIM Coordinator to take ownership of digital delivery across its building services projects - leading coordination, setting standards, and making sure the model is right before it ever reaches site.
The Role
- Lead implementation of BIM standards, BEPs and ISO 19650 requirements across building services projects
- Oversee Revit environment setup, templates, shared coordinates and content libraries
- Manage and coordinate federated MEP models, driving clash detection and resolution through Navisworks and Revizto
- Review and audit models for quality, compliance, constructability and performance
- Act as the technical authority for BIM tools, resolving complex modelling and coordination issues
- Manage TIDPs, risk/issue logs and coordination reporting
- Oversee version control and information management within CDE platforms such as ProjectWise, ACC or SharePoint
- Facilitate coordination meetings, workshops and design reviews, tracking actions through to close-out
- Mentor engineers and technicians, embedding consistent best-practice workflows
About You
- Degree in building services engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering or a related discipline
- Significant BIM coordination experience within building services (MEP), ideally across complex multidisciplinary projects
- Strong Revit expertise, alongside Navisworks and/or Revizto
- Proven track record managing federated models and leading clash detection processes
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 19650 and BEP development
- Experience with enterprise CDEs (ProjectWise, ACC, SharePoint)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with experience mentoring others
- Exposure to Dynamo or Python scripting would be a bonus, but isn't essential
