An established, employee-owned Consultancy with a strong reputation across water, environmental and infrastructure sectors is looking to appoint a Senior Digital Designer to join its growing Peterborough team. This is a key role within a highly collaborative, technically driven environment, supporting the delivery of complex and varied projects across the UK.

Operating at the forefront of engineering innovation and digital delivery, the business is known for its strong focus on sustainability, resilience and long-term infrastructure solutions. With a genuine emphasis on staff development, flexible working and a supportive, people-first culture, this opportunity would suit an experienced Technician looking to take ownership of project delivery while contributing to wider digital strategy.

The successful candidate will play a central role in the planning, coordination and production of high-quality digital engineering outputs. Working closely with Engineers, Project Managers and fellow Digital Designers, they will be responsible for developing and managing detailed 2D, 3D and 4D models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance across all project stages.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Utilising Revit and other industry-standard software to develop and coordinate detailed design deliverables.
  • Translating engineering specifications and calculations into accurate technical outputs.
  • Producing drawings, models and visualisations within agreed timeframes.
  • Supporting BIM implementation across projects, ensuring alignment with BS EN ISO 19650 standards.
  • Contributing to the effective use of common data environments and digital workflows.

In addition, the individual will take a lead role on selected projects, setting up early-stage information, advising on programme delivery and promoting best practice throughout the project lifecycle. They will provide technical guidance to junior team members, support digital strategy initiatives where required, and play an active role in project meetings and coordination activities.

You will demonstrate advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, alongside a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and digital design processes. Experience delivering multidisciplinary infrastructure or development projects is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks, review technical outputs and work both independently and as part of a wider team.

You will ideally hold an HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience operating at a senior level within a Digital Design or an Engineering Technician role. Professional membership, or progression towards ICE, EngTech or IEng status, would be advantageous as would a working knowledge of Civils3D.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy offering a clear pathway for progression, exposure to high-profile projects and a genuinely flexible working environment. The business offers a highly competitive package, including an industry-leading pension, private healthcare, and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Benefits:

  • Industry-leading pension
