A well-established, Manchester-based building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to support continued growth across a strong and diverse project pipeline. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communications systems
- Prepare, review and approve electrical drawings, specifications and calculations
- Undertake feasibility studies, cost analysis and risk assessments
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers and contractors
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, ensuring technical quality and consistency
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Attend site inspections, testing and commissioning activities
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, sustainability and renewable integration
- Manage elements of project delivery including programme, budget and resources
- Actively work towards or maintain Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status
- Participate in CPD activities, Lunch & Learns and ongoing professional development
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Typically 5+ years' experience within building services consultancy
- Senior or Principal level capability
- Experience delivering projects through full design and construction stages
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience beneficial but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Motivated by high-quality design, collaboration and professional growth
