A vacancy for a Senior Transport Planner with 3-7 years experience working on Development Planning projects has come available in Newcastle City Centre. You will be joining an extremely busy Transport Planning Specialist that works with a variety of clients from sectors such as Residential house builders to the Education sector.
It will be your role to deliver projects such as Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Junction Models using Junctions 9 and Transport statements. Being already experienced in these is key but you will be given training and development in order to further your career in Transport Planning.
This consultancy has been established for over 15 years and has a team of 11 expert transport planners that you will be working closely with and all are able to offer years of experience. They operate a flexible working policy with no set working from home policy in order to give you the freedom to work how you see fit, whether it be in the Newcastle office or at home.
Senior Transport Planner Essential Requirements
- Delivery of Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
- Delivery of feasibility studies
- Assisting in the delivery of transport scheme business cases
- Assisting in the delivery of the Value for Money assessments and economic appraisals
- Undertaking active travel appraisals
- Development of traffic models and analysis
- Analyse, write and present results and reports
- Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders
- Work as part of a team to develop solutions
- Support the Transport Planning Team by taking leadership and responsibility for the delivery of its tasks and projects
- Continue to develop your professional skills as you progress your career
Senior Transport Planner Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Geography, Planning or related subject (Masters' Degree in Transport Planning desirable)
- Working towards or chartered with a relevant professional body
- Delivery focussed
- Ability to work independently and in the team
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Enthusiasm to be part of growing the business
- Travel Flexibility
- Working in a multi-disciplinary consulting environment
