We are working exclusively with a well-established, multi-disciplinary architectural practice with a strong regional presence and a diverse, high-quality project portfolio. With a Leeds city centre base and broader UK reach, this is a practice with genuine pedigree across a wide range of sectors, including education, defence, advanced manufacturing, logistics, residential, and the public sector.
Due to continued growth and an exciting period of strategic development, the practice is looking to appoint a talented and commercially aware architect at either Associate or Associate Director level, depending on the experience and ambitions of the right candidate.
The Role
This is a pivotal hire for the business. You'll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team in Leeds and working across a broad and varied project base. Whilst strong design credentials are essential, the practice is equally keen to find someone with a natural aptitude for client relationships and business development. This is someone who understands the value of nurturing existing clients and is motivated by the opportunity to help grow the practice's reach.
You won't be expected to hit the ground running with a book of business from day one, but if you have aspirations to progress, a commercial mindset and a willingness to take on client-facing responsibility will be key. For the right person, there is a genuine and realistic pathway to the senior echelons of the business.
The Opportunity
- Flexible entry point - the role will be shaped around the right candidate, whether that's at Associate or Associate Director level
- Salary of 50,000 - 55,000 (flexibility depending on level and experience)
- Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 from home, with flexible hours
- Eligible for an annual bonus as part of the practice's Employee Ownership Trust model
- A strong and varied pipeline of live and secured work
- Real scope to take on increasing client responsibility over time
- Genuine opportunities for career progression to the senior leadership of the business
About You
- Qualified architect (ARB registered) with a solid track record in design delivery
- Confident communicator with an interest in or aptitude for client engagement and business development
- Sector experience in education, defence, advanced manufacturing, logistics or the public sector would be advantageous, though not essential
- Motivated by progression and keen to play a meaningful role in a growing practice
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than just a job. Someone who wants to build something and be rewarded for doing so.
