Are you a CAD Engineer, AutoCAD Technician or M&E CAD Technician looking for a role where you can work on detailed building services projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards? This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing M&E contractor in North Manchester, working as part of a close-knit design team delivering projects across a range of sectors.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing and updating detailed MEP / M&E CAD drawings for building services projects, working closely with engineers, project teams, subcontractors and the wider supply chain. The role is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced contracting environment, can work to deadlines and is comfortable turning around accurate drawings quickly. You will be involved in projects from detailed design through to construction and completion, with the majority of your work focused around RIBA Stage 4 and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing detailed 2D CAD drawings for M&E / building services projects
- Working from engineers' designs, specifications and mark-ups
- Updating drawings throughout the design and construction process
- Coordinating mechanical and electrical services within projects
- Working closely with engineers, project managers and subcontractors
- Supporting the delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards
- Ensuring drawings are accurate, coordinated and delivered within project deadlines
- Managing multiple drawings and projects in a fast-paced M&E contracting environment

You should have:
- Strong AutoCAD / CAD skills
- Experience producing technical or engineering drawings
- Ideally, experience within M&E, in a building services consultant or contractor
- The ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills
- A practical, organised approach to design work
