Site Manager - MEICA Sizewell This is a key role working across the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP), taking responsibility for the delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation activities from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover. It's a senior position within a highly regulated environment, so I'm looking for someone who has the technical knowledge but can also manage consultants, contractors, suppliers and multiple disciplines to keep the project moving. The Role You'll take overall responsibility for the MEICA delivery, working closely with the project, engineering, commercial and construction teams. The role will include: Leading MEICA activities from design through to commissioning and handover Managing engineering consultants, specialist contractors, suppliers and commissioning teams Providing technical oversight and assurance across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation Overseeing the installation of pumps, pipework, valves, tanks, process equipment and electrical infrastructure Coordinating PLC, SCADA, telemetry and control system integration Leading testing, commissioning and operational readiness Managing contractor performance and ensuring delivery against programme Monitoring cost, quality and technical performance Working closely with procurement and commercial teams around packages, forecasting and change Ensuring all works meet project, regulatory and nuclear industry requirements Driving safe, efficient and compliant delivery through to final handover About You We are looking for an experienced MEICA Manager / Senior MEICA Engineer / Engineering Manager who has delivered major mechanical and electrical packages within: Water and wastewater Utilities Major infrastructure Energy Industrial/process environments You'll ideally have significant experience and a strong understanding of taking MEICA installations from design through procurement, construction, testing and commissioning. Experience with water or wastewater treatment, process plant, PLC, SCADA, telemetry and automation would be particularly relevant. You'll also need strong contractor and supplier management experience, together with a good understanding of procurement, cost forecasting and change. A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, with CEng or working towards chartership advantageous. Previous experience within nuclear or another highly regulated environment would be a major advantage, although strong major infrastructure or water experience will also be considered. The Opportunity This is a genuine senior delivery role on one of the UK's biggest infrastructure projects. You'll have ownership of a significant MEICA package, working across design, construction and commissioning and dealing with a wide range of specialist contractors and suppliers.
