A Senior Ecologist position has come available in London to help grow a southern Ecology team for an exciting international environmental consultancy expediting a strategic growth plan. This position offers a platform to get involved in all aspects of technical delivery, commercial management and team growth. Remote and flexible working, career progression opportunities, and a platform to help shape the future of our ecology services across the UK.

Senior Ecologist roles:

  • Lead and manage ecological projects (technical, commercial, and financial delivery)
  • Carry out and oversee Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species assessments, and ECoW
  • Produce high-quality ecological reports and contribute to EIAs and planning applications
  • Support and lead on BNG
  • Attend virtual/in-person client meetings and design reviews
  • Support client account management

Senior Ecologist Specification:

  • Degree in Ecology or related environmental discipline
  • Proven ecological consultancy experience in the UK (5 years+)
  • Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, EIA, and planning frameworks
  • Excellent project management and client liaison skills
  • Team player with ambition to lead and support others
