I'm currently working with a well-established engineering consultancy in Liverpool as they look to bring in a Civil Engineering Technician to support their growing civils team. They've got a strong pipeline of work across development and infrastructure schemes, and this role will suit someone who wants to be hands-on with design while continuing to develop technically.
The role
- You'll be working closely with engineers to deliver civil design packages from concept through to construction.
- Producing detailed AutoCAD, Civil 3D & FLOW drawings and design packages.
- Supporting drainage, highways and external works design.
- Assisting with S38, S278 and S104 submissions.
- Supporting planning and technical documentation.
- Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Working across multiple live projects.
This is a design-led role with a good level of responsibility depending on experience - not just mark-ups.
About you
- Experience working as a Civil Engineering Technician or similar.
- Strong AutoCAD skills (Civil 3D beneficial).
- Exposure to highways and/or drainage design.
- Understanding of UK design standards and approvals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload.
