An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, nationwide building services and HVAC contractor that continues to invest in its engineers and grow its presence across the UK. We're looking for an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer to join a busy service and maintenance team covering the North West. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service to commercial clients.

The Role

  • You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdowns and fault finding across a range of commercial air conditioning systems.
  • Experience working on commercial refrigeration equipment, such as small integral units and cold rooms, would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance and repair of commercial air conditioning systems including:
    • Split systems
    • VRV/VRF systems
    • AHUs
  • Planned and reactive maintenance across a varied commercial client portfolio.
  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repair.
  • Complete digital service reports using a tablet/mobile device.
  • Ensure all work complies with F-Gas regulations and company procedures.
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused service.
  • Support with refrigeration works where applicable.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within commercial air conditioning.
  • Valid F-Gas Certification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Refrigeration experience on small integral units and cold rooms is advantageous.
  • Flexible approach and willingness to participate in the on-call rota.

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary.
  • 38-hour working week.
  • 1 in 7 standby rota with additional call-out payments.
