Leeds - Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer looking for a role where you'll have genuine influence over projects, mentor the next generation of engineers and play a key part in the continued growth of a highly regarded consultancy?

An established engineering consultancy is looking to strengthen its Leeds team with the appointment of a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. With an excellent reputation for delivering highways, drainage and development infrastructure solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and energy projects, the business continues to secure a strong pipeline of work and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Despite continued growth, the business has retained the close-knit feel of a specialist consultancy, where people are valued for their attitude, technical ability and willingness to support those around them. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a team that genuinely invests in professional development, knowledge sharing and long-term career progression.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll take responsibility for the technical delivery of highways and drainage designs across a broad range of development projects, leading schemes from feasibility through to construction. You'll produce and review drawings, calculations and technical reports including Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments and associated design documentation, ensuring work is delivered to the highest technical standards and in accordance with current legislation and industry best practice.

The role will see you coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, managing project programmes and supporting client relationships whilst identifying opportunities to add value through practical engineering solutions. You'll provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians, helping to develop their capabilities whilst overseeing the quality of project delivery. You'll also contribute to design reviews, challenge technical solutions where appropriate and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and safely.

Alongside project delivery, you'll be encouraged to continue developing your own technical and leadership skills through regular CPD, training and professional development, with clear support towards Chartership where required.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in UK development infrastructure design, ideally with around seven years' industry experience and expertise in highways and drainage engineering. You'll be confident producing technical reports, coordinating designs and communicating effectively with clients, local authorities, statutory undertakers and multidisciplinary teams. Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and industry-standard drainage design software such as MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage would be advantageous, together with a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges.

In return, you'll receive a competitive salary, an 8% employer pension contribution, a 35-hour working week, hybrid working with three days in the office and two from home, alongside a flexible benefits package including the option to purchase additional annual leave, a health cash plan and discounted gym membership. Most importantly, you'll be joining a business that offers genuine career progression, a varied and challenging workload and a culture built around collaboration, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
