This opportunity is suited to an experienced Revit Technician or BIM Coordinator looking to further develop their expertise within a leading multidisciplinary consultancy. The successful candidate will join an established Building Services team, working closely with engineers, technicians and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality BIM models and coordinated design information from concept through to construction.
The Role:The successful candidate will play a key role in the production, coordination and management of MEP BIM models across a variety of building services projects. You will support the delivery of detailed 3D models and drawing packages, ensuring project information is developed in line with project standards and BIM requirements. Working closely with multidisciplinary design teams, you will contribute to the coordination of building services systems while supporting the ongoing development of digital delivery processes and BIM best practice. This role requires strong technical capability, excellent Revit experience and a good understanding of building services coordination within a BIM environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting with project model setup and model management in accordance with project standards
- Producing high-quality, data-rich MEP Revit models and coordinated drawings
- Modelling a range of building services systems including mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment and drainage
- Supporting BIM delivery and drawing package production from concept through to completion
- Coordinating MEP services with architectural, structural and multidisciplinary teams
- Undertaking model reviews, visual audits and clash detection activities
- Working within Common Data Environments and digital collaboration platforms
- Supporting project teams with technical delivery using Revit and associated BIM software
- Mentoring junior technicians and apprentices within the BIM environment
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital delivery standards
- Supporting project delivery in line with ISO 19650 requirements
- BTEC ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, BIM or a related discipline
- EngTech accreditation or working towards professional registration
- Experience within a building services consultancy or contractor environment
- Minimum 4 years' experience using Revit MEP
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and building services coordination
- Experience interpreting and implementing Employer's Information Requirements (EIRs) and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
- Experience producing models and drawings with minimal engineering input
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, clients and project stakeholders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to challenging deadlines
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360 or similar collaboration platforms
- Understanding of construction-level coordination and installation requirements
- Familiarity with BS EN ISO 19650 standards and BIM information management processes
- Experience working across multiple sectors
- Experience within multidisciplinary project environments
- Revit family creation and maintenance experience
- Knowledge of automation and scripting tools such as Dynamo or Python
