Role Overview
The Electrical Supervisor will take responsibility for overseeing electrical works across multiple retail and commercial sites. This position blends technical knowledge with team supervision, scheduling, quality assurance and day-to-day coordination. Many projects run in fast-paced retail environments where careful planning and professionalism are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising electrical teams and subcontractors on site
- Coordinating work on store refurbishments, roll-outs and small works programmes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations
- Reviewing installation quality and issuing corrective directions where needed
- Working closely with Project Managers to align schedules and deliverables
- Completing site inspections, toolbox talks and health & safety checks
- Providing clear documentation, reporting and progress updates
- Supporting effective communication between site teams and client contacts
Candidate Requirements
- Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Supervisory or site lead experience within retail/commercial environments
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple teams and sites
- A proactive mindset, with confidence in problem-solving on site
- A strong awareness of health & safety and compliance procedures
- Willingness to travel frequently, including occasional overnight stays
