An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the world's leading Facilities Management companies, working on a prestigious and high-profile static site in Kettering. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for a stable Monday-Friday days role, with excellent earning potential, career progression and a comprehensive benefits package.
The Role
Working as part of a professional engineering team within a large distribution centre, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and general building maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment. You'll play an important role in ensuring the site remains safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales.
- Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works to a high standard.
- Support other engineers and technicians with both major and minor maintenance activities.
- Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure all required tools and equipment are available, serviceable and fit for purpose.
- Accurately complete all relevant maintenance documentation and paperwork.
- Provide support across other sites within the cluster when required.
- Work closely with both client and company colleagues to maintain high standards of quality and service.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with agreed KPIs, health & safety requirements and company procedures.
- Keep the Mercury CAFM system fully updated with accurate, live job information.
- Represent the company professionally and build strong working relationships with colleagues and the client.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation OR Level 2/3 Electrical qualification
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A professional approach with excellent customer and communication skills
