Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join their specialist team and contribute to technically challenging projects involving electrical infrastructure from LV through to 132kV and above. Working as part of a specialist Power Systems Engineering team, you will provide technical expertise across a variety of projects, from specialist power systems design through to complex electrical distribution networks. You will work across a broad range of projects, providing power systems engineering input and developing detailed designs for electrical infrastructure. The role will involve working closely with clients, DNOs, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, resilient and sustainable power solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across sectors including healthcare, education, universities, energy centres and other major infrastructure developments. Electrical network design from LV through to 132kV.Distribution substation design, including large private 11kV networks. Load flow and fault-level analysis. Harmonic analysis and ENA ER G5/4 compliance. Insulation coordination studies. HV cable routing and network design. Embedded generation and grid connection projects, including G99 applications. Undertaking site surveys and investigations. Supporting contractors during project delivery and attending commissioning activities. Providing specialist power systems advice to wider building services teams. What You'll BringDegree qualified in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Strong experience in power systems engineering, ideally across 11kV to 132kV.Experience working on larger and more complex power systems projects, with experience at 132kV and above highly desirable. Experience within sectors such as healthcare, hospitals, universities, education or energy centres would be advantageous. Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution networks and power systems analysis. Experience using software such as ETAP, IPSA+, ERACS, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Trimble, Electrical OM or similar. Strong AutoCAD skills; Revit experience would be advantageous.
